  • If the qualifying free piercing is not used during the applicable visit, the free piercing may be forfeited.
  • Promotion cannot be combined with other specials or offers.

  • Promotion applies only to qualifying standard piercings unless dermals or specialty piercings are specifically advertised as included.
  • Jewelry upgrades are additional.
  • Age, identification, waiver, and anatomy requirements apply.

DERmals / MICRODERMALS

Dermal and microdermal piercings have different healing characteristics and risks than many traditional piercings.

  • Dermal placement is subject to the piercer's evaluation of anatomy, skin condition, placement, lifestyle, and healing considerations.
  • A piercer may refuse a dermal placement that has an increased likelihood of snagging, migration, rejection, embedding, or poor healing.
  • Dermal anchors are not guaranteed to remain permanently in the body.
  • Dermals may migrate, reject, shift, sink beneath the skin, become embedded, scar, become difficult to access, or require removal.
  • These complications may occur even when the dermal was properly placed and appropriate aftercare was followed.
  • A dermal that migrates, rejects, sinks, becomes embedded, falls out, becomes damaged, or requires removal does not automatically qualify for a refund, free replacement, free re-piercing, or reimbursement of related expenses.
  • Replacement tops, replacement jewelry, removal, re-piercing, or additional services may involve additional charges.

EXISTING OR THIRD-PARTY DERMALS & PIERCINGS

A piercing, dermal, or microdermal originally performed by another shop, piercer, or individual is considered a third-party or pre-existing piercing.

22 Caliber Tattoo Studios cannot verify:

  • The original placement or technique.
  • The depth or angle of an existing dermal anchor.
  • The manufacturer, size, condition, or threading of existing jewelry.
  • The condition of tissue underneath the skin.
  • Whether migration, rejection, embedding, damage, improper healing, or other complications already exist.

When a customer asks 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios to inspect, adjust, loosen, tighten, change jewelry on, remove, or otherwise manipulate a third-party piercing, the customer accepts the risks associated with working on an existing piercing.

Working with an existing piercing may expose or cause a previously unseen problem to become apparent.

22 Caliber Tattoo Studios does not assume responsibility for the original placement, condition, healing, jewelry, or prior complications associated with a piercing performed elsewhere.

DERMAL JEWELRY CHANGES

Changing only the decorative top of a dermal does not guarantee that the anchor underneath the skin will remain stationary.

Removing, changing, tightening, loosening, or replacing a dermal top can cause the anchor or threaded post to:

  • Move.
  • Shift.
  • Rotate.
  • Sink beneath the skin.
  • Become embedded.
  • Become difficult or impossible to access.
  • Require removal.
  • Require medical evaluation.

This may occur during an otherwise routine jewelry change.

If a dermal becomes inaccessible, embedded, or cannot safely be removed inside the studio, the piercer may stop the service and recommend evaluation by a licensed medical professional.

CLIENT REFUSAL OF PIERCING ASSISTANCE

A customer always has the right to decline an offered piercing service or removal.

If a piercer identifies a problem and offers an appropriate option, including adjustment, repositioning, retrieval, or removal, and the customer refuses that option and chooses to leave the studio, the customer accepts responsibility for obtaining any additional piercing care, medical evaluation, treatment, or removal that may be required.

22 Caliber Tattoo Studios piercers are not physicians and do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication, administer anesthesia, or perform surgical procedures.

Certain embedded, migrated, damaged, or inaccessible jewelry may require evaluation or removal by a licensed medical professional.

JEWELRY UPGRADES

22 Caliber Tattoo Studios offers standard jewelry as well as optional premium, decorative, anodized, specialty, and upgraded jewelry.

  • Upgrade jewelry is an additional purchase unless specifically included in a promotion.
  • Ask your piercer about available jewelry before the procedure is performed.
  • Prices vary based on jewelry material, size, design, stones, anodizing, style, and other features.
  • Upgrade jewelry must be paid for through the studio's authorized checkout system.
  • Jewelry that has been opened from sterile packaging, inserted, worn, or otherwise used generally cannot be returned or exchanged for sanitary reasons except where otherwise required or specifically approved.
  • Normal wear, scratches, loss, accidental damage, improper cleaning, or customer misuse are not considered manufacturing defects.
  • Anodized jewelry may have normal variations in color and appearance.
  • The piercer determines whether a particular jewelry size, material, gauge, diameter, or style is appropriate for a particular piercing.

JEWELRY CHANGES

  • Jewelry changes should normally be performed only when the piercing has healed sufficiently or when the piercer determines that changing the jewelry is appropriate.
  • A piercer may decline to change jewelry in a piercing that appears damaged, embedded, improperly healed, severely irritated, or otherwise unsuitable.
  • Jewelry-change service charges may apply.
  • New jewelry is charged separately unless specifically stated otherwise.
  • Changing jewelry in an existing piercing may cause irritation, bleeding, swelling, tissue injury, embedding, migration, rejection, or other complications.
  • Some conditions may not be visible until the jewelry is manipulated.
  • 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios does not guarantee the condition, material, fit, threading, manufacture, or previous handling of outside jewelry.
  • A piercer may refuse to install outside jewelry considered unsuitable.
  • 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios is not responsible for complications caused solely by jewelry installed elsewhere, jewelry changed by the customer, outside jewelry, or improper aftercare.

ARTISTS & PIERCERS

  • Artists and piercers may have different schedules, rates, specialties, and participation in promotions.
  • If an artist transfers to another 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios location while working on an ongoing tattoo, the client may continue with that artist when practical or discuss transferring the project to another available artist.
  • If an artist is no longer associated with 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios, the studio will make reasonable efforts to help the client continue unfinished work with another available artist.
  • A price, promise, discount, or arrangement personally made by an artist that was not authorized or recorded by the studio is not automatically binding on 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios.
  • Unauthorized personal payments to artists or piercers are governed by the Payment & Checkout Policy above.
  • Artists and piercers are not authorized to accept studio gift cards, deposits, specials, or promotions outside an authorized 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios location or payment system.
  • Services performed at an artist's home, a customer's home, or another unauthorized location are not services performed by 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios.
  • Work performed outside an authorized 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios location is not covered by studio gift cards, deposits, promotions, policies, or guarantees.

PAYMENT PROCESSORS & TECHNICAL ERRORS

22 Caliber Tattoo Studios may use third-party payment processors and online services.

  • Processing delays, outages, transaction errors, declines, account problems, or technical failures may occur outside the studio's control.
  • A failed or declined payment is not considered completed payment.
  • Another approved form of payment may be required before a service or product is provided.
  • 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios will make reasonable efforts to help customers resolve legitimate payment issues but cannot control third-party processing systems.

REFUNDS & COMPLETED SERVICES

  • Deposits are generally non-refundable.
  • Tattoo services that have already been performed are non-refundable except where otherwise required by law.
  • Piercing services that have already been performed are non-refundable except where otherwise required by law.
  • Used or inserted body jewelry generally cannot be returned for sanitary reasons.
  • Promotional sales may have additional restrictions.
  • Refund exceptions, when appropriate, must be approved by studio management.

AFTERCARE

Clients are responsible for following the aftercare instructions provided for tattoos and piercings.

Improper aftercare may result in infection, irritation, pigment loss, poor healing, migration, rejection, scarring, or other complications.

22 Caliber Tattoo Studios tattoo artists and piercers may provide general aftercare guidance but do not diagnose illnesses or provide medical treatment.

Customers experiencing symptoms that may require medical attention should contact an appropriate licensed healthcare professional.

APPLICABLE TAXES & CHARGES

Applicable taxes and authorized service charges will be added when required by law or disclosed as part of a promotion or transaction.

WAIVERS

All tattoo and piercing clients must complete the applicable 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios consent waiver before receiving a service.

Additional acknowledgments may be required for:

  • Minors.
  • Dermals and microdermals.
  • Existing or third-party piercings.
  • Jewelry changes.
  • Specialty services.
  • Other procedures involving additional risks.

The signed waiver and these Terms & Conditions are intended to work together.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

22 Caliber Tattoo Studios may update these Terms & Conditions as services, promotions, technology, payment methods, or studio policies change.

The version posted on the 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios website at the time of the applicable transaction or service will govern unless another written agreement specifically applies.

QUESTIONS OR PROBLEMS

If you have questions regarding an appointment, deposit, gift card, promotion, artist, piercing, jewelry transaction, or payment, please contact the applicable 22 Caliber Tattoo Studios location or studio management before the service is performed whenever possible.

That’s the version I’d use as your new master Terms & Conditions page. It eliminates quite a bit of old material without losing the protections you were trying to get from it, and the payment, dermal, jewelry-change, waiver, and Afterpay sections now match what we added to your updated forms.

If you have any issues please contact management.
