General Tattoo Questions

Hi there! Have some questions about Tattoos ? Find the answers below.
  • How do i go about getting a tattoo in your studios ?

First you can schedule a consultation or simply just walk in to one of our locations. Ask the person at the front desk to speak to an artist about your tattoo ideas. They will then set you up with one of our friendly artists to consult you.

  • Is scabbing normal on my new tattoo ?

Moderate scabbing is totaly normal for a new tattoo along with  puss and discharge. As long as you are washing your tattoo the recomended every two to three hours pert day for the first two to three days your tattoo should heal nicley. Small scabs heart and there are very normal no matter how much you take care of it. if the tattoo is one solid scab then you may not be washing it enough or using the wrong aftercare products.  If you think your tattoo is infected please contact us before going to a doctor. or go to the ER.

  • How do i go about getting a touch up on my tattoo ?

Once your new tattoo has completly healed meaning no scabs or scar tissue and it has a spot that the ink did not take completly you should contact the studio you had it performed at and ask for the artist who did the tattoo and set up a touch up session with that artist.

  • Do you take walk ins ?

Yes we sure do take walk ins as long as there is a free artist to do the tattoo you would like to have performed. However keep in mind that this is not always the case and walk ins are on a first come first serve basis. We really want to be able to accomadate all walk ins but there is only so much time in a day and we do have family's of our own who miss us. If you try to walk in on a weekend or an hour before closing time and expect to get a big piece or a full sleeve this will not happen and you would be best to set up a consultation to have session work done on your tattoo.

  • What is your refund policy?

We do NOT offer refunds on work performed in our studios. We have always worked with clients to assure their happyness and will try our hardest to make this happen. If a tattoo or piercing needs fixed for some reason we will honor that price and do our best to help. if you made a deal with an artist who is no longer employed by us that deal was with that artist and you should seek them out to finish your tattoo. Unless you want one of our other artists to do so however this will cost you money for a different artist to do your work. Each artist works for themselves.

  • What do i do if a have an issue with an artist or studio ?

Please contact our management team as soon as possible. We do not want one single un-happy client at our studios. You can find our management teams info at the bottom of our contact us page.

Saniderm :

Saniderm Removal and Reapplication of 2nd Bandage

  1. To remove Saniderm, find an edge of the bandage and pull it back over itself in the direction of hair growth. The shower is the ideal place to remove Saniderm. Running water will help loosen the adhesive and relax the skin, making the removal much more comfortable. Dry removal of Saniderm may cause discomfort and added trauma to the skin.
  2. Discard the used bandage and wash the tattoo with a mild soap, preferably fragrance-free.
  3. Allow the tattoo to air dry or pat dry with a clean towel.
  4. If desired, apply a thin layer of aftercare product to your tattoo. If you have naturally oily skin or live in a high humidity climate, feel free to skip this step. Otherwise, use a thin layer of petroleum-free moisturizer to help the tattoo retain moisture and itch less. If you plan on applying another bandage, apply the product to the tattoo only and avoid getting it on the surrounding skin. Saniderm does not adhere well to wet/moist skin.
  5. Apply a second bandage by following the application steps listed above.

Additional removal and reapplication information:

Keep this second bandage on for 3-6 days – the full six days being ideal. If the skin appears irritated, there is fluid buildup, or the bandage is coming off, it’s          okay to remove the bandage sooner rather than later.

  • Do not reapply any more bandages after the scabbing/flaking phase of tattoo healing has begun. If you find yourself bandage-less during this phase, make sure you’re keeping the area thoroughly moisturized.
  • If there is adhesive residue leftover on the skin, or the adhesive is not loosening enough with water, coconut oil and baby oil are helpful for removal.

Caring for Your New Tattoo After Removing Saniderm

Once the final bandage has been removed, continue caring for the tattoo by washing and moisturizing as needed, until the tattoo is fully healed. The tattoo may appear to be fully healed on the surface once your second Saniderm bandage comes off. However, deeper layers of skin will still be repairing for 2-4 months. We recommend a good moisturizing regimen for this entire period.
